      Radiant & Brighter Business Launch

8 th August 2013 | Destiny Centre, Shawlands.

The Radiant & Brighter business launch was a great success.  Over 150+ people joined us at the Destiny Centre, Shawlands, including representatives from Business Gateway, Police Scotland, Cemvo,  Glasgow Life,  Women in Enterprise,  Poverty Alliance,  Church of Scotland,  Migrant Rights,  Latta Solicitors,  Make That Move,  Jobs and Business Glasgow,  CRER, Social Enterprise Academy and Africa Uk.

Local Councillor Norman MacLeod was there to say a  few words and present our recently-graduated English students, Sami El Haj, Mahmood Musa Ali, Tandiz, Mohammed Azarpanahi, Florinda and Azizi with Certificates of Attendance.  Jackie Brierton from Women in Enterprise, gave some insight on what it takes to build a successful business.  Pastor David Thomson of the Destiny Foundation discussed the challenges and opportunities facing immigrants to the UK. Entertainment & music was provided by the Street Lamp Theatre group and the Signs of Hope Choir.

Everyone stayed behind after the presentations to enjoy some delicious food and to network together.

A big thank you to everyone who took part

We would like to thank our family, friends, students, colleagues, volunteers and guests for giving their valuable support on the night and helping to make the Radiant & Brighter business launch such a memorable and joyous event.

Special thanks to:  Women in Enterprise,  David Hughes our Business Advisor who believed in our business idea from the very beginning, Councillor Norman MacLeod, Signs of Hope Choir, Peter Guloba our Graphic Designer and our fantastic volunteers and clients who came early to organise the hall.
